APPLICABLE EQUIPMENT:
All RAFNA railgear utilizing the S‐002002 single po check valve.
SUMMARY:
It has come to our attention that some of these check valve are missing the valve piston that operates the check valve.
IMPACT:
If a bad check valve is installed in the hydraulic system it will not let the cylinder operate properly, do to fluid bypassing from one port to the other causing the hydraulic system to deadhead.
ACTION:
Inspect port U-2 visually for the valve piston on any S-002002 single po check valve shipped loose. Any gear shipped with the S-002002 valve installed will have to be removed to inspect for the valve piston.
